Total number of votes cast during Britain Got talent 2017 = 6.2million votes
Total number of votes cast during American got talent 2017 = 52.1million votes. American population is twice Nigerian population.
Mind you, most of the votes cast on either Britain or American got talent are absolutely free because you can vote on their websites & on the Apps without paying a dime.
Total number of votes cast during “Big Brother Nigeria” 2018 = 170million votes @ N30 per sms for a show that contributes absolutely nothing to their lives. Going by the figures, it will take America & Britain combined three & half years to organise a talent show to catch up with Nigeria.
It is neither a talent show or life enhancing or promoting show. A show where two adults are kept in a cage to freely give & take sex on National Television, while the organisers make more money from the youths.
If INEC organises general election this weekend and ask Nigerian youths to vote on their mobile phones @ N10 per SMS to elect leaders that will shape their futures & the country, they will ask Nigerian Government to credit their accounts 1st before they will agree to vote in that magnitude.
“Wasted Generation” ~ Prof. Wole Soyinka called them.
“A generation that play too much, sleep too much and engage in idle chatter and gossip" ~ Chief Obafemi Awolowo foresaw
“A generation of illiterate graduates” ~ Atiku Abubakar called them in 2016
A generation that are constantly not concerned about the deteriorating conditions of their senses & not bothered about their own future~ Osquare78 knows them.
“Idle youths who sit and do nothing, but expecting everything from govt free” ~Pre. Buhari surmised about them
We all must be wary of this generation.... they are the larger chunk of Nigerian population.
It is pathetic. 170 Million votes Multiplied by N30 = N 5.1 billion and the winner got N25 million plus an SUV worth N12 million a trip and electronics. Let us even assume that sms votes is 85 million, that will be N2.55 billion. So so sad...

What you should know as a Nigerian Youth.
*My Advice to Students:*
"Academic excellence is overrated! I said it. Being top of your class does not necessarily guarantee that you will be at the top of life. You could graduate as the best student in Finance but it doesn't mean you will make more money than everybody else. The best graduating Law student does not necessarily become the best lawyer. The fact is life requires more than the ability to understand a concept, memorise it and reproduce it in an exam. School rewards people for their memory. Life rewards people for their imagination. School rewards caution, life rewards daring. School hails those who live by the rules. Life exalts those who break the rules and set new ones. So do I mean people shouldn't study hard in school? Oh, no, you should. But don't sacrifice every other thing on the altar of First Class. Don't limit yourself to the classroom. Do something practical. Take a leadership position. Start a business and fail. That's a better Entrepreneurship 111. Join or start a club. Contest an election and lose. It will teach you something Political Science 101 will not teach you. Attend a seminar. Read books outside the scope of your course. Go on missions and win a soul for eternal rewards... Do something you believe in! Think less of becoming an excellent student but think more of becoming an excellent person. Don't make the classroom to be your world but Make the world your classroom. Step forward, try politics, try farming, try business, try an extra thing.."

What do you do in your Free time
*WHAT DO YOU DO WITH YOUR FREE TIME?*

Most times in our working and educational environments, we have free time. These free times maybe official or not. I don't mean break time. Some times, it is up to one to two or even three hours depending on the nature of work. Besides, there are leaves, and offs. These hours are enjoyed by so many people daily, monthly and annually. The question is:what are you doing at this point? Resting? All right, that is good.You need to gain strength. But do you actually mean you use all those hours to rest? Did you just say no? Then what else? Answer it within you.

Those who squander such times only on frivolities and hoping only on their salary are doing more harm than good to themselves. You see, the management or your boss in most cases will not tell you what to do at this time. Only you know in most cases when you are through with your official assignment, thus only you know exactly when you are free.

Those who are ambitious use such time to add more value and expand their world. I tell you this, of all the 18 books I have to my credit, I wrote 10 (ten) using the free time I had when serving as the storekeeper, in New Hope Hospital, Onitsha Anambra state, Nigeria. And this was how I created the free time for myself and used it to expand my world.

8 am was my official time to resume work, but I used to arrive at 6:30 or 6:45 am in most cases .This helped me to have on the average two to three hours free time daily. And only me knew about it. I used this period to read and thought about what value to add to my life. And today it is paying off. Meanwhile, most people have abundance of time in their places of work yet it has never occurred to them to think about what more to do that will help expand their world.

You see, only you know when you have free time, nay it is not always official. You can create your own free time in a way that will not affect your job if you a vision. Begin now to make good use of those free hours. Don't just be there waiting for the closure time. If this is all you have been doing, it is time to change. Value is not hidden, when you have it,the world around you will know.

You see, you may not really do what I did with my own free time, but you can sure do something in that regard to add value to your life. Leave chatting! Leave the game! Leave unnecessary discussion! Leave! Just keep focus in view all the time. The reason is that life is measured in time. If you waste time, you waste life.

Learn to learn from the best
In the business arena.
In the firm/organization where you've found yourself, even in that market you are, are there individuals who seem to be more prosperous? Are there people who seem to have anything that come in contact with them turned into gold. Are there people in that firm whose promotions from a level to another come as frequently as new sets of houseflies come around some stinking material.
In that market place, are there people who never experience failure in every venture the involve themselves into? Yes. The truth is that the above sets of people exist and they are the ones I prefer to refer to as the best in the game.
But sometimes, when we identify these kinds of people in our circle we tend to view them as extraordinary people who are meant to be envied. Yea these set of people are to be envied, they are extraordinary owing to the spot they occupy in the game's table. But the only difference between you and them is simply the fact that these people understand the game and its intricacies more than you do. So they consequently succeed in that which they understand very well.
Like you've read in this chapter, your envy would be very good in this respect because it'd make you to want to be like them. Therefore you must conscious be not to let the burdens of envy manifest. So the principal thing to do here is to try as much as possible to get close to these people while retaining envy without its burdens. This would make you learn the ideas and strategies these people employ to be where they are.

YOU MUST LEARN TO START SMALL.
Do you think saving up 50k is difficult? How about saving up 5k? Is it easier to save that amount up? I think it may be or at least it may be easier to save up 5k than saving up 50k.
Okay, if can easily and conveniently save up 5k, then it implies that the saving of 5k is an easy task to carry out. And you know that an easy task can be carried out over and over again ( yes you can conveniently repeat the task because it is easy) right?
Now if this is right and true, you can easily save up 5k more than one time, and more than two times and of course more than thrice. In fact you can do it as many number of times as you want.
If you can save up 5k as many number of times as you want, having a ten times savings of 5k is equal to having the 50k you thought was difficult to save up.
Now you can see that it is not difficult for you to have 50k.
You only have to discipline your mind to always be in remembrance of the fact that you should start small and never let the enormousness of a goal to cause a delay or a halt to that necessary starting first step you need to make.
